The heroine Eleonore Prochaska, (1936). Das Heldenmadchen Eleonore Prohaska. Eleonore Prochaska (1785-1813), the Potsdam Girl Hero, disguised herself as a man and joined the Lutzow Free Corps, taking the name August Renz. She fought against Napoleon and was severely wounded in the battle of the Gohrde. Field-surgeons discovered she was a woman and took her to Dannenberg where she died of her wounds three weeks later.
