The death of Schwerin at Prague, 6 May 1757, (1936). Schwerins Tod Bei Prag, 6 Mai 1757. Prussian field marshal Kurt Christoph Graf von Schwerin (1684-1757), one of the leading commanders under Frederick the Great, was killed at the Battle of Prague. He supposedly shouted Let all brave Prussians follow me!, and was struck and killed by a cannonball. The battle was fought between the Prussians under Frederick the Great, against the Austrians, in the Bohemian city of Prague (modern Czech Republic). The Prussians went on to win the battle but lost over 14, 000 men. From " Bilder Deutscher Geschichte", (Pictures of German History), No.12, cigarette card album.
