Founded in 1904 as the One-Cent Savings and Trust Company Bank by African-American minister and businessman Richard Henry Boyd, the Citizens Savings Bank and Trust Company served the financial needs of African American depositors who believed that white-owned banks looked down on their small deposits. A large rectangular clock and sign. The front and back of the clock has a stained glass sign that reads " CITIZENS / SAVINGS / BANK / & TRUST CO." The clock is located under the stained glass sign on the clocks front. The body of the clock is constructed of copper metal. The sides of the clock are made of copper and have small vent-like patterns running from top to bottom
