Bestiary ceiling, Metz, France, (1928). 13th Century...Detail of a painted ceiling...from a building in the Poncelet Strasse...now in the Metz Town Museum [Musee de La Cour d Or]...one of the oldest painted ceilings preserved or known at the present time.
