Church of St. Luke, South Myton, Hull, 1862. Creator: Unknown
Church of St. Luke, South Myton, Hull, 1862. It is in the Early Decorated style of Gothic architecture, of a plain but neat appearance...Externally this church is built of dark red brick, obtainable in the neighbourhood, with black bands and Bradsworth stone dressings, and the roof is covered with green and blue slates. The church is a spacious, convenient, substantial building, and does great credit to the architect, considering the limited amount spent upon it. There will be accommodation in it for about 900 persons. Tho architect is Mr. Robert Blessley, of Furnival's lnn, and of Eastbourne, Sussex; and the builders Messrs. Simpson and Malone, of Hull'.
