Apsley House, Westminster, London, c1800 (1878). Also known as No 1, London, Apsley House, is the London townhouse of the Dukes of Wellington. The house was originally built in red brick by Robert Adam between 1771 and 1778 for Lord Apsley, the Lord Chancellor. Apsley house was bought by Wellington in 1817.
